3. On results of the Expert Commission’s work on determination of violations by “ITE Group” company and its Ukrainian representative “PREMIER EXPO” of norms and regulations of exhibition business.
Speaker: Mr. Valeri Bilyy ** Heard: information of Mr. Valeri Bilyy on results of work of the Expert Commission on determination of violations by “ITE Group” company and its Ukrainian representative “PREMIER EXPO” of norms and regulations of exhibition business. Speakers: Mr. Oleksandr Pashkevych, Mr. Vladlen Timoshenko, Mr. Volodymyr Ivanov, Mr. Valeri Pekar, Mr. Oleksandr Tigunov, Mrs. Iryna Lyubina, Mr. Oleksandr Goncharov, Mr. Volodymyr Shainskiy. After discussion it was decided: 3.1. To uphold the decision of the Expert Commission on violations by “ITE Group” company and its Ukrainian representative “PREMIER EXPO” of norms and regulations of exhibition business.
DECISION
of Expert Commission on violations by “ITE Group” company and its Ukrainian representative “PREMIER EXPO” of norms and regulations of exhibition business. Kyiv, June, 6, 2008
Expert Commission members: Vice-President of Exhibition Federation of Ukraine (EFU) Mr. Valeri Bilyy – chairman; members – Vice-President Mr. Igor Kolgatin, Vice-President Mr. Anatoliy Tkachenko, individual member of EFU Mr. Volodymyr Shainskiy, Advisor of President of EFU Mr. Oleksandr Belyaev; created by decision of Government of EFU (Order #62 dated 18.04.2008, section 7.3.2.) has studied the materials submitted by “PRIMUS Ukraine” and “PREMIER EXPO” regarding their exhibitions, “Primus: Windows, Doors & Profiles” and “WinTecExpo Ukraine” respectively, planned for January 2009.
After analysis of materials and an all-encompassing discussion of the situation that has arisen, the Commission has taken the following decision:
1. To protect and serve the interests of consumers, to promote fair business practices and ethics, and to encourage healthy and fair competition, to recommend to Exhibition Federation of Ukraine not to support the first exhibition “WinTecExpo Ukraine” in case it is organized by “PREMIER EXPO” and “ITE Group” in January 2009, and to recommend Exhibition Federation of Ukraine requests “PREMIER EXPO” and “ITE Group” move the dates of their exhibition.
2. To recommend Exhibition Federation of Ukraine contacts The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI) with information regarding situation that is forming on the exhibition market of Ukraine, with “ITE Group” company attempting to organize in 2009 the 1st exhibition “WinTecExpo Ukraine”, topics and dates of which are exactly the same as the established and respected 9th International Exhibition “PRIMUS: WINDOWS, DOORS & PROFILES”, and request that UFI advises on the situation, citing existing precedents and how they relate to international law, rules and regulations, traditions and ethics in the exhibition industry.
